Past and Present

NASCO was established in 1986 as a joint venture between NHK Spring Co., Ltd. of Yokohama, Japan and Associated Spring, Barnes Group Inc. of Bristol, Connecticut. The original facility was built in 1987 on a 50-acre site on Highway 31-W on the west edge of Bowling Green, Kentucky. This 60,000 square foot facility has been expanded several times to accommodate business growth and new product lines. In May 2005 we became a wholly owned subsidiary of NHK Spring.

Today over 210 employees work in the 348,000 square foot facility operating 5 hot wound coil suspension spring lines, 2 material turning lines, 2 cold drawing lines, trunk lid torsion bar production and equipment, as well as the modern and sophisticated infrastructure to warehouse and ship our products.
